Birthday Party Bonanza!!!

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

I had an amazing Birthday! It all started on Friday, August 29th, 2914.  My boss/friend Loraine and Co-worker Cody coordinated a combined birthday party for Me and our other co-worker Stephen!  Besides the date and time the whole party was a complete secret to Stephen & I.  We all met up at Town Square on Las Vegas Blvd.

Part 1 of Birthday Party was drinks at one of my favorite places Sugar Factory! I was so excited that one of our other former co-workers, Sarah came to the party as well with her boyfriend! She got me a Bath & Body Works gift set as a gift, she knows me so well!! Once we all got settled into our table we each order
a Goblet- which if you are not yet familiar is a huge glass of a mixed alcohol drink with some form of candy and/or fruit in it!  They are delicious as well!  Loraine also surprised Stephen and I with our own ice cream concotion that had a big ass sparkler firework coming out the top of them for our Birthdays! As the server brought them out 50 Cent's- In Da Club was blaring through the speakers ("yo, shawty its ya birthday, were gonna party like it your birthday") haha! it was amazing!

Part 2 of the Birthday Party was At Gameworks, which is basically a huge arcade, but with a bar lol.. They use to have their location on the Strip, but recently re-located to Town Square.  It was actually really cool- I played skee-ball, and basketball, deal or no deal, and even bejeweled lol. If you cannot tell video games are not really my thing, but I made the most of it trying to play the games I knew of lol. Loraine & Stephen headed right over to play Dance Dance Revolution lol! Those two love their games! I think I spent more time just walking around and watching the others play games, and taking selfies in the bathroom haha. It was my birthday party so sorry not sorry about taking selfies- because I felt super cute that night!

We then stopped to take a group photo before moving to to Part Three of the Birthday Party Bonanza which was going to Blue Martini to have a couple drinks and dance the night away!  It was so much fun just letting loose for a little while and having a couple vodka/cranberries and jack and cokes with the peeps! We even did a shot of Jameson, which I had no idea what the shot was beforehand, and as Loraine said "I took that shot like a boss" lol!

Afterwards we left Town Square and went out to a deserted area and just had a bonding birthday moment!  It was so nice just to see the entire city, the lights and calmness of other city!

It was probably one of the best birthday parties I have ever had and I am so thankful/grateful to have such amazing co-workers, with whom I can also call friends who planned out such an awesome Birthday Party! It was so thoughtful and I will never forget any of that night!! It really has meant the world to me! Xx

Here are my responses to this weeks prompts!

I celebrated Labor Day by... not doing anything out of the ordinary.. I took that day off of work and Tuesday because Sept 2nd was my birthday and I wanted a lil two day vacation away from work.  I practically spent the day in bed catching up on my shows saved to my DVR and then had chicken fajitas for dinner with my family.  It was just a nice quiet day!

My dream job/career, would be... I want to eventually be a stay at home mom if possible, because once I have children I want to be able to devote my attention to just them. I have talked about it previously, but I want to go to Cosmetology School so I can learn to cut, color, style etc, hair.. I have wanted to do this for years, and once my health is better I am determined to get into it!

My first paying job was... Well... technically I was a "paid baby-sitter", and I am not just talking about my siblings.  Since I was like 12 or 13 I babysat my neighbors kids all the time until I was about 20 years old.  But other than that my first job-job was at Bath & Body Works as a Sales Associate.  I worked there for a only a few months though because the shifts were never guaranteed, but it was a good first job- and having the discount/Christmas/semi-annual happening while I worked there was amazing! Everyone got so much lotion and sprays and body washes for Christmas haha!

My current job is... I have been with my current job since December 2008.. Just a couple months after I started work at B&BW I realized that it was not going to work out for the long run, so I looked elsewhere for work and luckily I had a connection and scored an interview and I have been with the same company ever since.  I work as an Assistant Manager/Full time sales associate of a major retail/sales electronics store.  I sell anything from house phones to cameras, gps systems, headphones, and cell phones- and tons of accessories!  This coming December it will be six years with the company, and I am very proud of that! I love where I work and who I work with! I found my niche within the company long ago- I am really good at customer service! =)

Here is the link to add your own post to the link!  Finish This Link Up!
And don't fret if you don't have a blog, just add your responses in my comment section below! Happy Blogging!

The Day "Puppy" Became Ryder P. Earl LaFon

Thursday, August 28th, 2014 is going to be a day that will forever be an important day in the LaFon household.  A day a year and four days in the making.  Our beloved "Puppy Bite" became an official part of our family, and his name was legally changed to Ryder P. Earl LaFon.  He now joins Me, JJ, Nicole, Alyx, and Cooper T. (aka Turtle) as a LaFon kid!  We are a modern day Brady Bunch with three brothers and three sisters!  It is crazy-insane, but I love it and would not have it any other way!

The day was full of so many emotions.  My parents are I were so over-joyed that this day was finally here.  The end of this huge journey of adopting him and Turtle and Alyx.  We as a family had been through so much in the past few years to make all of this possible and for it to finally be happening was amazing!  I was really happy that the judge let me sit up front (on the witness stand mind you), so I could take pictures and video of the occasion.  He also made sure to call all of us siblings out, and even our honorary ones- Heidi & Mario out by name, welcome us as a family together!  My Dad held onto Puppy through the whole thing and I just smiled listened on and the judge made it official.  At one point my Mom looked over at me and in that moment we both just started crying.  Just so overwhelmed in the moment, and so beyond happy!

From waiting out in front of the courtroom, to the actual adoption, and even afterwards at brunch the day was just amazing! I just watched my family, and thought, we are amazing!

My parents have the biggest hearts of anyone I know and I am so honored to be the oldest of their SIX children!  I love my parents and siblings more than anything in this world and you could just feel the love we all had for each other in that courtroom and throughout that entire day even after the adoption! This whole journey has been so long, but sooo incredibly worth it!  I would not trade any of my brothers or sisters for the world!  I love that I am part of an amazing and big family!

From day one Puppy was part of our family, and we knew that one day that he would be a LaFon, and I always looked at him like he was my little brother, and he is after all my Love Bug, but now it is official!

So here is to you Ryder P!

Cheers to my the most amazing family, my family! LaFon Family For Life!!!
