Life as of Late...

It has been so hard to blog in the past few months, I have blamed it on sharing my computer with my Dad and my Sister, because yes, I have the only computer in the house, and Minecraft is priority one for my Sister, and my Dad, who knows what he uses it for- probably playing bills and stuff. Anywho, its not completely their faults, for why I have been practically MIA from the blog since like September/October of last year.  Except for the weekly Finish This Blog Post, and my XMAS post, I have not been able to put to the blog all the ideas I had to post about! 

Work has been super stressful.  A lot of changes went on, restructuring, working double time, longer hours, more shifts, and so on.  Without going into too much detail, I finally had enough of the drama and stress that my company was putting me through, so I finally put my foot down at the end of January and quit.  I know what you are thinking, WOAH! I seriously didn't even consider doing it until it was happening.  After six years at my job, I never wanted to go out like that, but it was honestly time to go.  And despite the hardships I will have to endure until I find new work and health insurance, it is better than what I was being put through.  My sanity was at stake. #seriously 

Sidebar: I was also sick for three weeks, and that cold/flu took me to my knees.. no joke, so that also made it super hard to blog-  I had no extra energy to do anything.. 

I am already on the job hunt.. had an interview a few days ago which went well.  Gonna keep applying and taking my resumes to places as well! Sad news is, my car died.  Complete accident of what happened to cause it to die, but it is not worth fixing, so time to sell it for junk and start over.. It just means I can only apply for jobs closer to home until I have my own reliable transportation again.  I also have another job interview tomorrow- which I am super nervous about!!! eek!

So with that, I decided it was to finally post some pics from the past little bit of time that I took with the intentions of posting to the blog! 

So without further ado.. Life as of Late.. in photos!!  We took many selfie's, met up with old friends, took day trips, and of course celebrated New Years-- which was pretty epic!! 

New Years!!- it was pretty awesome- food, drinks and good friends!!

 Me & My good friend Elana!!! so glad to see her- we go back all the wayyy back to Girl Scouts!! We are all grown up now!

Thanks to my friend Loraine, I have become a huge fan of "Supernatural", so you know, despite having a broken car, I had to buy this license plate cover- oh and name my car Ruby, after the demon lol. 

Turtle rides.. ending in him awkwardly falling asleep haha. 

Finally decided to wear my pin in January. despite the issues going on.  

Got to have a nice dinner date with my Sister and Mom at Chilis.. and omgsh, what a surprise, they had Justin Timberlake Tequila.. you know I had to have a drink with his Tequila.. and btw, it was delish!- definitely recommend it!

 Sooo we finally cut Cooper T aka Turtles hair.. lets just say, it has aged him, and we are ready for it to grow back already, and we have decided never to cut it short again lol.

So I quit my job right?? and I was feeling pretty down.. until I got my paycheck, and my tax return and decided to do some more retail therapy.. and man did it feel good! I went to my job interview, and on my way home I stopped.. And man, I was so happy with my purchases.. I even got a pretty dress!! Self esteem booster for sure! And on the way home I saw a Buggy Tour going up to Rock Rock haha! 

I came home, and saw my fav person.. Puppy aka Ryder.. and took some cute photos of him and I! I may be bias but he is the cutest kid on the face of the planet! I love being his big sister!! xx

Took a few of the kids out for some lunch at East Side Pizza in Boca Park, and to play at the pet store.. how cute is this doggy tho?? collie/lab mix!! i want. i need. i have it have!! 

we all definitely had fun for sure!

We went to dinner this past Saturday night as a family. These are the only 2 pics I got, my dinner, and a funny snap of JJ and his mini-me Mario. .haha!

Then yesterday (Sunday), my parents and sister took all the kids to a fun train ride out in Boulder City.  I really wanted to go, and was sad I had to miss it, but I woke up in the early morning feeling nauseous and had a migraine, and felt it best I didn't go.. but luckily the parentals took some cute snaps!

So we are all caught up!! yay!!! hope I didn't lose any of you all in the sea of photos!  Hopefully I will be able to post more often now.. In fact I vow to do so..

I have a huge job interview tomorrow that I am off to prepare for, so wish me luck.. as well as I am off to Los Angeles Wednesday, and I could not be more excited to go back home and visit my friends.. I have missed them so much and it has been just over a year since I have gotten to visit, so this is long overdue.. follow my instgram: molly_lafon for hopefully daily snaps of my vacation!! and hopefully I will be blogging as well, from my cell phone.. I am being nice and leaving my computer at home.. haha! your welcome family!

My first time in a foreign country … this is easy beacuse I have never been to a foreign country.. yup, never been out of the continental United States.. I dont really like airplanes so travelling far distances is like practically out of the question.  I do have hopes one day that I can conquer my fear and travel abroad to places like Rome, Paris, and the Bahamas.

::MY FAVORITE::

Magazine… when I was in my teenage years I loved reading the gossip mags, well because smart phones hadn't been invented yet- so like Seventeen, J-14, Teen Beat.. etc.. Everytime I would go to the market with my parents they would always let me pick one out.. So for a time those were my favorites.. From time to time, if its like a special issue i will pick up a copy of People Magazine, Us Weekly, or Entertainment.. I cannot get enough of my celeb gossip! But since I got a smartphone like 4 years ago I have all the celeb gossip I could have ever ask for at my fingertips with all the celeb gossip apps like Perez Hilton, TMZ, E!, etc.. 

Appetizer…

Spinach & Arthichoke Dip and Chips.. mostly from Applebee's, but I will get where ever it is offered.. so delicious!

Board Game…

There is no shame in my game, I love playing board games.. My friends and I have gone to Target out of sheer boredom and walked out with a couple of board games to go home and play.  They are good clean fun to play, especially with family! I love to play Chutes & Ladders with little kids because it is easier for them to play, and it is fun.. and omgsh Sorry!, well because its hilarious when you have to bee like SORRY! lol.. I love the game of Life as well, but sometimes it takes too long and gets complicated lol. My favorite, favorite, favorite is... MONOPOLY, so much fun to play, right? My friends and I love to play it!

Perfume… I am a huge fan of Bath & Body Works, I even had a job there years ago for a short time. I go through phases of which spray, lotion, etc, I use.. But my old standby that I absolutely love is "Warm Vanilla Sugar".  It is equal parts romantic/sexy smelling, but all just feminine and delicious.. I don't know, but I have always just loved it! 

Chore… Umm, this is an easy one.  I hate chores. So I most definitely do  not have a favorite!

My thoughts on chocolate... I am a huge fan of food. Period. End of story.  But oddly enough sweets- including chocolate are not necessarily my favorite.  For snack food I am more of a chips/crackers/popcorn type of girl.  But during "that time of the month" I am especially in love with all things chocolate.  Cookies, candy, ice cream with chocolate in it. For a few days every month there is nothing better than chocolate and just sweets in general.  Gahhh its just sooo good!  I love chocolate with almonds the best too! Oh and I hate dark chocolate- or any chocolate with the gross fillings like the raspberry and cherry, but I love the caramel, or nugget ones too.  I am a big fan of chocolate brownies, chocolate chip cookies, but I am back and forth about chocolate cake.  Some chocolate cakes are wayyy too rich for my taste.  I swear my taste buds change all the time!

Describe, in great detail, your high school prom experience(s)... to be honest with you, High School was not fun for me.  I was practically a social outcast because I moved to a new town and started high school, do everyone had all the friends they had grew up with and werent interested in befriending and outsider. Partner that with how I look.  Teenagers, and people in general can be very superficial, so being friends with an overweight girl was like a huge no-no. I spent most of high school lunch periods hanging out in the nurses office or in a corner by myself, minding my own business.  Yes I did make a few friends, who I to this day have at least some form of contact with- mostly through social media. I was minorly bullied on and off for my size and it did hurt my feelings so I just tried to get through those icky years by keeping my head down and just sticking to the school work. It was rewarding for sure because I graduated with Honors and an Advanced Diploma. P.S. never went to a single high school dance, partly by choice, and partly because I was never asked.. and no I do not feel feel bad for not having those experiences, I have found most people only found disappoint on those nights.  I am just glad I am far past high school.. until reunions start rolling around lol.

What are your New Years Resolutions/Goals... For as long as I can remember my New Years Resolution was to lose weight- which is like 99% of the worlds resolution every year too.  I have never been able to strongly fulfill that resolution for one reason or another- because lets be honest- I find a reason/excuse to not try as hard as I can.  This year though, I do intend on trying to lose weight.  I am hoping to start the process for Gastric Bypass Surgery.  

A goal of mine is also to get my debt under control by using my tax return to help pay for Bankruptcy.  Unfortunately in my 26 years of life I accumulated a lot of debt- mostly medical because of all the ailments I have had- and I would love to get out from under it all now before I have a family.  I feel like it would be a huge weight off my shoulders- to be caught up money wise.  

Another resolution of mine is to get even more involved in my blogging.  It has been an amazing positive outlet for me, and in the past few months I have let work come in between me and my blog and I am determined to take back my life outside of work- give myself more time for blogging, as well as other hobbies and things that I love- including spending time with my family and friends!

All in all I just hope to have a great 2015- one where I am happier, healthier, and more content with my life in terms of where it is now- how I can make it better, and how I can reach my long term goals career wise and just in life in general..

So goodbye to 2014 and hello 2015.. may you kick ass and rock my world in the most awesome/amazing ways possible!!!

Christmas 2014!!

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! 

I was honestly so in the moment that I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked.. I was just enjoying the day with my family! 

Despite a Grinch trying to steal xmas- see my blog post about my parents "GoFundMe" account here:  GoFundMe   We managed to raise over a grand for the kids to have presents under the tree.  So they were none the wiser that Christmas came close to not happening. 

The important part, is that we did all get to have a great Christmas.. 

Of course the little ones woke us up early to open presents, with zero patience, understandably.. All of us older kids were just taking too long, dragging to wake up lol.. Each of us had our own section of presents in the living room by the Christmas tree.. And we all just went at it opening gift after gift.. Big smiles across everyones faces with each and every gift being opened.  

After opening the gifts, we had breakfast which consisted of banana nut and blueberry bread my Mom had made the night before as well as some fruit.. It was delish! We all went our separate ways for either naps or to play around with the new loot! 

My Dad cooked an early dinner which consisted of Ham, and Potato Salad and Corn Bread- and my Dads famous Orange Sherbet Punch- sooo good! We had some yummy Apple Pie for dessert!  

We were soo stuffed- and then I took my brother home, came home and got into my new pjs and relaxed! It was such an easy-going, relaxing, non-eventful Christmas.  

Here are a few of the pics I did take on Christmas!  People in Pics: my sister Nicole, my brother, Ryder, my brother Cooper (Turtle), my brother JJ, Heidi Ho, Mario Man, I am sad I didn't get pictures of either of my Parents, and didn't many pics period.  But just know we had a great day! & Sidebar- I have some period cute/adorable siblings!
