Girls Day...Girls Night Out!

I think the Dos Equis Guy said it best "I don't always go out, but when I do, I go big and have the best time"! Okay, so that is not quite what he said, but I took some creative license with it! Ha!

Not counting today, which is Sunday, the past two Sundays I had some much needed girl time with some of my favorite ladies to hang with!  First off I got to hang out with my old boss/co-worker turned awesome friend and party buddy Loraine, and her roommate Jenn, who I also know through my old work!  We had a full girls day which included getting some coffee at Starbucks, then full Pedicures (foot and back massages included- the seats), which were both equally as amazing- I mean coffee and being pampered- amazing!! We then went and got food and drinks to make dinner and have some girl talk and drinks later in the evening.  Before we headed back to the house we stopped by Sallys Beauty Supply and got hair color and stopped into Loraines work real quick.  Anywho...

Once we got back to the apartment, Loraine & Jenn started cooking dinner for us and I got some mixed drinks (Vodka and Ice Soda Mixers) ready for us to sip on.  We put on "Men In Black 3" & later "Guardians of the Galaxy" (which we didn't finish because we got too tired).  We watched the movies, ate our dinner and had some awesome girl talk. We talked about our futures- having families and babies, and where we wanna be in the next few years in terms of career and financial.

It was an awesome day that was soo much needed!

*I got to wear my new fav shirt- which I felt appropriate for girls day- "Vodka With a Splash of Love"- Torrid Fashion

I then followed it up this past Sunday by going bowling at Red Rock Lanes at Red Rock Resort & Casino With my Sister Nicole and our co-worker/new awesome friend Monica! We all met up after I got off of work at 8:30p, but since the bowling prices are discounted at 9pm, we decided to go get food at the food court before bowling- Sidebar- I got totally sick by the food- so I wont be eating at a certain place at the food court for awhile. Ugh/Ew! After we finished eating our dinner we went and got Pretzel Bites at Auntie Annes to take into the Bowling Alley to snack on while we bowled!

We got the idea to go bowling because we had previously gone bowling a few weeks back with our co-workers for an after holiday party, but those are stories for another blog post that I am planning on posting. But I will say that on that first bowling outing Nicole, Monica and I bowled in our own lane and came up with funny bowling names to bowl under and this time we did the same and did not disappoint. We seriously are such sillies.  We had the best time just taking turns bowling- showing just as much excitement about Gutter Balls as we were about Strikes and Spares.  Just making our own fun.  We also had a couple bowling next to us making their own fun, but in a different, not as wholesome way.  They had headphones in blasting music and you could just smell the booze (they said Don Julio) on their breathe.  They were dancing and laughing around and just speaking non-sense.
We had sooo much fun!  Nicole kicked our butts, but we didn't care- it was all about the fun times and silliness!  We too had some girl talk and took some silly photos!

Bowling Names: Me: Splash of Vodka, Nicole: Take Yo Panties Off, Monica: Not Monica

I definitely need more girl times and ladies nights like this! Especially if they are gonna be just as fun as the times I had with my girls lately! Love you ladies, thanks for the great times and I cannot wait for more good times!!

March 2016 Birthdays!

Hi all! This past week we celebrated not one, but two Birthdays in the LaFon Household.. whew! This past Wednesday, March 1st was my Moms Birthday & then on the 3rd was my parents Foster Child Nevaehs 5th Birthday!   On the 1st the majority of the fam bam (minus the kids in school) went out to lunch at Lazy Dog Restaurant at Downtown Summerlin.  We had to do lunch because JJ and I worked at night so we wouldn't be available to celebrate at diner time.  Which Nicole ended up getting an ice cream cake to sing Happy Birthday to our Mom after dinner with all the little ones because most of them were not at the lunch.  But I digress.

I was personally excited to go to Lazy Dog because I had been wanting to go there since it opened and hadn't gotten a chance.  My parents had previously gone one time and I am so glad they liked it enough to choose it for the birthday lunch! I got a Salad and a Chicken BLT minus the L and add Avocado! Ha! OMGSH- I also had THE BEST Strawberry Lemonade  I have ever had! Highly recommend it! The kids made their own pizzas- which they loved doing! It was a lovely afternoon- and we left the restaurant very, very full- with doggy bags to take home for later! We even made sure to tell them it was Moms Birthday so for dessert they brought over an ice cream sundae over with a lit candle on top and we all sang Happy Birthday!  It was a very lovely lunch!  P.S. Nicole got the flowers pictured below- she had wanted to get our Mom Dandelions but they didn't have any so she got Daisies instead!

*On a side note- I have a very photogentic family... At least I think so- at the very least they LOVE taking photos- just like me!

I love you Mom, and I hope you had an awesome birthday!! XOXO

Keeping the Birthday Train going, we celebrated Nevaehs 5th Birthday at Chuck E Cheese on Friday Night, the night after her actual birthday, the 4th of March!  We met up with her brother who is placed in another Foster Home.  Out of respect for both of them because they are Foster Children I will not post pics of either of their faces, but they are super cute kids- especially Nevaeh!

Everyone had a great time.  The only one not there was JJ, but Nicole and I took one for the team and partied with the little ones! We had pizza and salad and cake!  The kids played around the in play place and Dad also got everyone tokens- which Nicole and I kept the majority of said tokens for ourselves and had the best time playing all the arcade games- in fact Nicole killed this one game- she was 3/3 in this jump rope game and like doubled her ticket count lol.  Ryder P just kept running around- I mean we would blink and he was gone- or blocking some other kid out after they put their own token in and stealing their game-play lol.. Whoops, sorry kids!

The kids kept watching Chuck E perform on stage.  They didn't know whether to love it and sing/dance along or be scared shitless, sometimes they were all of the above lol!
I felt super cute because Heidi did my hair- thanks Heidi!  At Chuck E Cheese we also sang Happy Birthday to N and she opened her presents! She loved them. She was a happy birthday girl! Mission Accomplished!  I also took some silly photos with Ryder & Nicole- and Heidi got a really pretty one of herself- pictured below! It was just a really fun evening and for once the kids all acted great!
