Here is my response to this weeks prompts!

My most recent splurge purchase for myself was… I spent wayy more than I had anticipated on a bathing suit, of all things.  We went on family vacation a couple weeks ago and I knew I was going to need a new swim suit. I hadn't bought one in so many years.. I tried to avoid it like the plague.  But when we went swimming and to the beach I was determined to get a bathingsuit to wear.  2 stores and multiple trips to the fitting room later and I spent over 100 bucks on a new swim suit.. but it was totally worth it! I felt super cute and totally confident in this new bathing suit! It is flattering and bright and despite it being a dreaded bathing suit, it is totally cute and I love it!

You have a first date. Where do you go? I have only had 2 first dates in my life and both time we went to the movies.  Both movies I hated lol, one date resulted in a relationship that led to marriage and divorce and the other led to nothing past the first date.  I was 19/20 years old for both of those dates.  I definitely would not want to go to the movies for another "first date".  These days I'd rather have a nice coffee and conversation or cool dinner- or maybe even an awesome concert as a first date.  I live in Las Vegas so there are plenty of cool places to go for the 21 or older crowd.  I loved cool themed restaurants or places that have awesome food and drinks.. reasonably priced of course.  We would get to know each others interests, share a few laughs. If it is a good date, he may get a kiss, with hopes for a second date.  =)

Things I miss about being a young child... In general the biggest thing I miss about being a young kid is the lack of day to day stress.  As a kid I had no worries or cares in the world.  Life was great.  I had a great home-life, I was great at school. and I was into Basketball- I played at a park league team, and I had a lot of friends.   I miss how simple things seemed.  Just being oblivious to the stresses around me.  I was a lot happier that's for sure! Let alone the fact of having to deal with bills and money.  As a young kid you don't even realize the value of a dollar or that money even exists!  When you are older everything is so thought out it seems.  There are few and far between spontaneous moments, where as when you are a kid it is one moment after another.  I loved going to the park and getting ice cream and playing in the water and pool and just being with friends.  To be carefree again, Id give anything!

Life As Of Late #2: March 2015

Hey all!  Hope everyone out there in the blog-o-sphere is well!  Not a lot has been going on around here.  Pretty much more of the same...
Although I will say, you know how I quit my job?  Well, I haven't really updated much about it- so here is a quick update- I am applying for jobs still & going on job interviews and what not, but lemme just say that I do not regret it for a second, because at the end of February my store closed its doors for good.  I don't think I would have had the heart to break a store down that I had been trying to build up for months.  It officially marked the end of that chapter..  Those 6 years are now in my rear view.

So with that I give you March 2015 in the Lafon Household- minus my Moms Birthday- you can find that post HERE

First off, I finally made my way to the new-ish Trader Joe's located at Downtown Summerlin after a job interview at the beginning of March, and I found some delicious movie theater popcorn and pistachios! I'm obsessed with both haha! How can you not love Trader Joe's? haha!

We went to dinner at IHOP one night and I was in love with my new top from Torrid that I had picked up a couple days before so you know I had to take some pics! I am currently wearing that same top as I type this haha!

I also took a lot of cute selfie's with this cutie! He has so much personality! It is so fun playing with him and hanging out with him and watching him discover new things and just grow up!

On March 14th a new Ice Cream place called "Cream" was having their Grand Opening at Downtown Summerlin, so as a family we made our way over there to get some free ice cream sandwiches.  They were sooo good, like the best!  You get to choose your cookies- you can mix and match (red velvet, lemon, sugar, double chocolate, white chocolate macadamia nut, etc), your toppings, and your ice cream... What an awesome idea- they also have ice cream tacos- which is basically a waffle cone shaped into a taco with ice cream and toppings.  Very cool!  They are now offering "Taco Tuesday" which is a discount on the Taco-Waffle on Tuesdays.. haha! If you have one in your area and have not gone- I highly recommend it!!  The kids really enjoyed the ice cream, just not the long weight for the free ice cream- but definitely worth it..

The next day Nicole & I ventured a couple of the new developments being built by our house.  We are suckers for model homes- I mean who isn't?  They are awesome!  I mean, they are polished perfection brand new homes haha!  I had so much fun going to them as a kid ya know picking out "what would be MY room" haha!  Now even as an adult they are fun- seeing new designs and layouts, the decor, and still picking out my room haha!  We went to 2 different developments and my favorites were the ones with roof-top decks- obsessed! They were just all so beautiful!

The next night Nicole & I went on a mini sister date to get frozen yogurt at a local spot I Heart Yogurt! We got our yogurt and went and parked  closer to the mountains and just listened to music and looked out at our city, Las Vegas.

The next day was St. Patrick's Day!!! Dad cooked the usual St. Patties Day Feast which consisted of Corn Beef, Cabbage, Carrots, & Potatoes.. Nicole Made an awesome cake as well!  It was nice to have us all there- including JJ!

I also got to take Turtle Man CPK (California Pizza Kitchen).  I hadn't been to the restaurant in a long time and they had opened one up at Downtown Summerlin.  We had some bread, chips with guacamole and a BLT Pizza. It was hilarious because our waitress was one of JJs previous flames.. She recognized me before I recognized her and she asked me how JJ was doing and stuff.. Awkward.

And then took more pics with this cutie!!

The family (Dad & Nicole and her BF Tyler mostly) cleaned out the entire garage to make more room for me and to just re-organize it all.  After they were done I went and re-organized my stuff again the way I wanted it, and after a year and a half I finally hung up one of my Beatles posters and pictures and just made my area of the garage finally look like my room..

Totally unrelated, but I found my new obession- "The Royals on E!" It stars Elizabeth Hurley as The Queen of England and her family living the Royal life in the Royal Palace, and all the entails- especially the people they surround themselves with!   I loveeeee it!  All I can say is #anarchyinthemonarchy

He loves Turtle Mans Spider-man slippers and kids lawn mower haha!

Selfie time with me and my baby girl Bella!  Cutest doggy award will always go to her!!

We also had another family dinner.  Dad Made BBQ... You know what family dinner means?  LaFon Family Dance Party/LaFon Family Guitar Hero/Rock-Band Bash! haha  Once again Turtle rocked out on his guitar and Ryder grabbed ahold of the microphone to sing lol!

So now here we are in April... Passover and Easter have already passed can you believe it?
I snapped some cute photos so far, and the parentals also got some cute snaps of the kids at the butterfly habitat inside Springs Preserve.

How cute are these kids?? Cooper T aka Turtle Mario!

A few days ago Heidi decided she wanted to do my hair.. here is the process haha! Curls on Curls and braids on braids lol!

I will have a lot of photos to post in a few days because we are currently on our #lafonfamilyvacation.  The family is currently at Legoland Park in Carlsbad and I am relaxing at the hotel.  Be on the look-out for the vacation wrap up post in a few days!!!

I hope you all have a great day!

Peace & Love
