My favorite Christmas tradition...  All of us waking up early on Christmas morning and opening up presents together and then having breakfast together as a family.  We all just have smiles plastered on our faces from all the excitement of watching each other open up gifts and the reactions to them, and just being together and it being just such a fun special morning/day!

My most memorable Christmas... I don't think Ive had a bad Christmas so each of them have been good in their own ways, but other than getting some really awesome surprising gifts some years- nothing like out of the ordinary has happened to make it extremely memorable. at least none I can think of right now. ugh.

The best gift I’ve ever received... They are all great because they come from my loved ones and friends who care about me and put thought into the gift, and that in itself is a real gift- the thought of the friends and family, and to have those same people period in my life! Materialistic wise I have on separate Christmas's received a cell phone and a laptop and a tv.. Those have all been pretty awesome!

The gift I’d rather forget... Seriously nothing comes to mind. maybe that is because I did forget it already? lol

Getting older is... hard.  Stay young as long as you can! Less responsibilities, stress! Can I just go play in the sandbox and have nap times again please?!

My best kept secret... It wouldn't be a "best kept secret" or secret at all if I told you all.  But just know, its a good one.. dun dun dun! lol!

My guilty pleasure... It is funny because my sister and I were talking about this yesterday, but we LOVE the Kardashians- we cannot stay away from their shows on tv haha.  Despite the big house, cool clothes and more money than they know what to do with, they are just girls from the "valley" who made names for themselves.  They have a huge loud family who have this amazing ability to keep people captivated.. I love them, and their shows- who cares what the haters say, you go girls!!!

My favorite place in the world... my childhood home.  No other house has ever felt the same to live in, nor has any other bedroom.  Nothing can ever compare to the place you first remembered to live, and sleep, and play, and make memories.. You know what I mean?

Go Fund Me: Foster Kids Christmas Fund!

An unfortunate thing happened to my parents last week.  They were victims of debit card fraud. While we were all asleep in our beds, evil thieves were checking the bank balance on the account and then taking $200 out.  They then preceded to charge at least a couple thousands of dollars worth into different gift cards at a Rite Aid in Culver City, California, as well as getting money out elsewhere after the fact.  The bank is lagging on giving us any sort of credit of funds or answer on the situation, but my Dad has filed charges over the phone at the Culver City Police Department, and they were looking into the situation as well!  I hope that whoever they are they get caught and cannot do this to anyone else!

So, the money that was stolen, was money specific for the kids- government money for the foster/adopted children in the household- which is every single one! It was money in the account for Christmas Presents for all the kids, and now that money is gone.  Having money stolen in any fashion is irritating, frustrating and upsetting as it is, but the fact that it was money specifically for foster children, makes it even more heartbreaking and devastating! My Parents and I kept saying in the first few days, how do you explain to children, little children, at that, and little children whom are in the foster care system as well, and don't have much and look forward to Santa coming and making them feel special, that this year is going to be different because a "Grinch literally stole Christmas" from them.

Sooo, last night I was making a snide comment about the situation, I couldn't come up with the exact name of  what I was thinking of but I said things like "Med-Gift" and "Kick-starter" as a way to get money to make up for what we lost, so the kids do not have to be effected by the money that was stolen, and have a great Christmas! Well, I guess my Dad thought it was a good idea because this morning my Dad opened up a "GoFundMe" Account to help raise money for the Christmas presents.

My Dad set a goal of $1000 which is about 1/3 of what we lost, but it is enough to make a big difference, because anything helps!  in the 14 since the donation period started we have already had four people donate a total of $260, which is an amazing start, and my Parents & I are so grateful for the outpouring of love and support from our friends and family during this trying time, and thank you to those who have donate, or shared about our cause!

So this afternoon, when I finally got to see the the account, I decided to share it on my Facebook, and then Instagram, in order to get it out there into my social networking stream! More and more people are now able to and are sharing the story and link to the donation site. Thank you to those who have done that- because anything and everything makes a difference in terms of support- because it is not just about the monetary, it is about the love of family and friends in the time of need, who is really that, and who really cares.

I am spreading the word about the story of what happened to my Parents/Family in hopes that all of you in the blogosphere can spread the world/donate/or both.  I can tell you right now how very much appreciated it would be by my whole Family, and would make all the difference for a bunch of little kids this Christmas!

My ideal winter weekend... Honestly, but spending the time in my bed, lounging around, watching my favorite movies like 'The Breakfast Club", & Across the Universe, and if possible, catch up on my favorite tv shows I have recorded.

My favorite song lyric... still have the feels about my divorce..

The Civil Wars: The One That Got Away

"Oh, if I could go back in time
When you only held me in my mind
Just a longing gone without a trace
Oh, I wish I never ever seen your face
I wish you were the one
Wish you were the one that got away"

I smile because... Unfortunately not doing a lot of smiling right now, but I have an amazing family and great friends and that is enough for now.

Thanksgiving: Gobble Gobble!!

Happy Throwback Thursday ya'll! I cannot believe a week has already passed since Thanksgiving!  It just seems like yesterday that I was having yummy turkey dinner with my family!

This year was a little bit different than past years because the company I work for chose to be open on Thanksgiving (boo!).  Luckily for me I only worked for a few hours in the morning and then got to come home and take a nap before dinner with everyone!

About 3:30ish we all sat down to dinner- Dad, Mom, Me, JJ, Nicole, Heidi, Mario, Turtle, Anna, & Ryder (Puppy). My Dad cooked a delicious turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy,  stuffing, corn, buns, green beans, and cranberries!  I was sooo full afterwards, I think everybody was!  Unfortunately though the parentals kind of dropped the ball and we had no dessert- no pie, or ice cream, no nothing.  what the crap right? haha!

The best part about dinner, wasn't the food though, it was getting to have a lovely sit down dinner with everyone.  Enjoying amazing conversations that included everyone going around saying what they were thankful for!  It was so nice!  My heart felt so full

I even got to have my first couple of winter Starbucks drinks in the past couple weeks! haha!  Which makes my heart and my taste buds happy haha!

Thanksgiving is such a hard day though, my heart hurts at some points.  On Thanksgiving in 1999 my Grandma passed away, and she was one of my most favorite people on the planet, and I have never fully gotten over her death.  But being around my family having fun happy times helps!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  We are only weeks away from Christmas, ahhh!! is everyone prepared? gift bought? decorations out?  My family has started- we have a few lights and decorations outside and a lot of Christmas and Hannukah decorations up on the inside! that started literally the day after Thanksgiving- Thanksgiving decorations and Xmas decor up haha! And we are mostly likely going to get the Xmas Tree on Sunday-- I have so much fun decorating it with lights and ornaments!!! So excited!!

Finish This #32!!

My biggest fan... My Mom.  She is the one person always in my corner and supporting me in everything I do 100% of the time! I love her more than anything!

My Mom & I (December 1988) I was only a few months old!!

My great blessing is... My Family. I hope they all know how much I love and care about them!  With everything I have been through in my 26 years of life,  and I wouldn't be where I am without each and every one of them! they are my heart! Xx

Sometimes, all you need to feel better about life is...

seeing this face:

I don't know if it is because I am the youngest sibling and he is the oldest, or that he is just so darn cute, and has such a fun personality, or what.. but me and him have such a great connection!  We both light up when we see each other, and I just love playing with the lil guy- he really owns my heart!
