My Dad's Birthday Celebration!!!

I am vey late on this post, because as par usual my day to day life has gotten in the way of my blogging life. My computer screen finally went completly out and I wont be able to replace it for a few weeks, and my cell phone has even been on the fritz, but I am currently trying to blog from it. July 13th was my Dad's birthday.. We didn't get to really celebrate until the 14th because all of us older kids were working.  But we were able to all get together at my parents house for family dinner, birthday cake, and presents! It was a really nice, and chill evening.  The only sucky part is when my sister was running around and playing with a couple of the puppy dogs and she did not realize that our little brother "Turtle" had been playing with water all over the kitchen and slid and fell.  Luckily she was not really hurt, and it ended up being pretty hilarious actually.

Glad we were all about to get together as a family and celebrate my Dad.  He deserved it!  He got some good home made cake (made by my sister naturally), and pretty awesome presents.. mostly his new obsession Duck Dynasty stuff haha! And I got him is favorites, Vanilla Wafers and Peanut Brittle! Hope you had a great Birthday Dad!! You deserved it!

Here are some pictures of the the birthday party & I hope everyone has a great weekend!

And welcome back to those who have been by the blog before.. Glad to decided to come back for more!

:::Here are my responses to this weeks prompts::

The only thing standing between me and ____ is...  the only thing standing between me & moving back to California is money.  I am a SoCal girl and have been living in Vegas since 2002, I was only 13 almost 14 when my family moved here, and it is just wayyyy too expensive right now for me to move back.  But in my end-game I always see me raising a family in the suburbs of Los Angeles where I grew up.  I am determined to get back there no matter what.  I miss the beach wayyy too much to never move back lol.. I guess you can take the girl out of the valley, but not the valley out of the girl.

I don't have to be perfect to be.... Me.  As long as I am true to myself and I am the best me I can be that it is enough.  I know I am a great person and I am definitely not perfect, but I have amazing qualities that my family and friends love and appreciate me for! =)

I would improve ____ by.... I definitely would improve my health.  If you have read through my previous blog posts I have had cancer and radiation treatments in the past and had surgery earlier this year, so because of that my immune system is in the toilet! I get sick super easy and just can generally never stay well.  Been to countless doctors/specialists and had too many hospital visits (mostly er) to count, they know me by face and name.. its Sad.. I am trying to improve my health, by trying to not stress out as much, and I am in the process of seeing an Immunologist, who also happens to be my Allergist to try and get on the right track where my health is concerned.

Thanks again for stopping by and reading my responses to this weeks Finish This Link Up! Below are next weeks prompts! See you in a week!! Xx

For 4th of July I celebrated by... I slept in lol.. Had family dinner with, well obviously my family.  I took some cute selfies with my lil bro Ryder and my Mom, and then I went down to my brothers house and we lit fireworks from the balcony out to the backyard, because yes of all days for in to rain the desert, it rained on the 4th.. and it wasnt like a warm rain, it was cold lol.. and we had a some drinks and listened to some cool music.  It was just a really chill day/night..  I also blogged about the 4th, if that counts.. Check out the
post: HERE!

My go-to cosmetic product is... I don't really have a go to cosmetic product.. I normally do not wear make up.. When I was teenager I was all about make-up and even before I met my husband, but when he told me I was beautiful without it, I rarely put any on except for special occasions.  But now that I am back on the market, I am trying to wear make up, at least a little bit more often, but not really haha.. Usually its just a quick eye-liner and mascara combo.. no specific brand at this point.  my old go to was NYC though.

I am inspired by...totally not trying to sound conceited, but I am inspired by myself, and all those who have battled cancer and won!  We are survivors and I think all all our stories are inspiring.  Anyone battling cancer is inspiring, because battling means fighting and anyone willing to fight is inspiring in my opinion.  I am inspired that I was able to go through such a terrible situation and come out the other side so much more stronger than before!  It was both one of the best and worst events in my life.

The best relationship advice I received was... Clearly whatever it was I didn't listen because now I am a divorcee.. I know for a fact whatever anyone had to say about my ex I wouldn't have listened regardless because I was so in love. Now in the aftermath of that mess my best friends are just trying to tell me to get back out there and meet people when I am ready.  They know my heart still hurts, and that it is going to take a lot of time for me trust someone again, but they just want to see me happy again.

When no one is around, I tend to... I eat.  I cannot help it.  I am an emotional/stress eater.  Always have been as long as I can remember.  Even If I am not hungry I will eat.  Sometimes I will even open the fridge out of reflex, even if i don't get anything out of it.. I have problems, I know.. definitely not something I am proud of, and always trying to work on.  And I feel better, I guess over-eating when no one is around to judge.

Happy 4th of July

Bring on the red, the white, & the blue!!

Yesterday was the day we all went Patriotic in honor of America's Independence from Great Britain or what we know today is the United Kingdom..  July 4th. 1776 we signed the Declaration of Independence, which in essence was declaring said independence. haha.

In honor of that day, we celebrate each year on July 4th with fireworks, parades, bbq's, picnics, concerts, carnivals, baseball games, as well as political speeches about how far we have come as America, and ceremonies acknowledging are history, government, and traditions of the United States.  We spend time with our friends and family, having a good time in honor of this special day.

My Dad cooked in the kitchen all day making ribs and potatoes for dinner.
& the whole family was all dressed in our red, white and blue! While the food was in the oven my parents took the kids to the water park for a few hours to run around and cool off!  We had dinner and just hung out at as family at the house.. I took pics with my lil bro Ryder, and my Mom, and of course some patriotic selfies lol.

It was just a nice, relaxing day surrounded by my family..

I finally decided to head down to my brothers house.. worst timing ever, it was pouring rain! but with the all the traffic between the rain and the people trying to get to areas to see fireworks, I had time to take pics of the rain and the sky..

When I got to my brothers house and we had some drinks and lit some fireworks and just hung out and listened to music and just chilled out.. Not much we could do because of all days for it to rain, mother nature chose the Fourth of July, of course, and it was down pouring all night.  We literally were lighting the fireworks in the the house and throwing them in the backyard for them to go off because of the rain.. It was ridiculous and hilarious and almost sad at the same time lol.  All you heard was thunder and saw was lightening.. It was pretty crazy..  The sky went back and forth between the lightening strikes and the fireworks people were setting off.  I even stayed late at my brothers house to try and out stay the rain, but I gave up and of course it started to really pour again half-way home and I ended up mildly hydroplaning, but it was okay.

How did you all spend your 4th! I hope you all had a great day with whatever you did!

HAPPY 4th of July!!!!
