Spring 2016 Wrap Up!

Well at this time we are well into Spring and heading into Summer.  It is so strange because this is the first year in the almost 14 years of living in Las Vegas, this is the first time I can remember us actually having a Spring.  We have always gone from Winter to Summer.  It actually feels nice to have an in-between.  I am so not ready for 90-100 degree temps!
I am so far behind on my blog posts, but that's because once again my photos got all sorts of messed up and I am still working on compiling them back to normal to publish posts I have in the drafts.  With that said this is a long post including a couple holidays other LaFon Family Adventures through-out March/April thus far! Warning though, lots of photos!

A Visit to The Lion Habitat

So my parents found out there was a Lion Habitat in Henderson so they took the kids for the afternoon to hang out with the Lions.  I didn't go with unfortunately because I couldn't do all the walking with my knee/back issues. Here are some pictures my Dad took of the kids and lions!

St. Patricks Day!

So during my down times at work I make these "name tags" out of an index card and highlighters.  I have given them out to practically every one of my co-workers.  Anywho, I had the idea to make them for the whole fam bam because there are many of us and at the time St. Patricks Day was coming up and I thought it was the perfect time because I could tape them onto each chair during family dinner!  The name tags were a huge hit and are now hung up on our kitchen cabinets haha!

My Dad made a huge delicious dinner for St. Patrick's Day- one that you should totally be jealous about missing out on!  We had Corned Beef, Cabbage, Potatoes, & Carrots! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

I am so awesome I caught a photo (mid throw) of my Dad throwing something to JJ haha! Great action shot on my part lol!

After dinner the pyros of the family thought it would be funny to go light stuff on fire.  I was all for the silly string fight and sparklers lighting until the started actually lighting stuff on fire in the middle of our cul-de-sac. lol. Weirdos!

The awesome cake Nicole made for St. Pattys! Feeling Lucky?

Town Square Adventures

Next up was an adventure to Town Square with everyone.  We met up with Savannah and her Dad.  Long story short- Savannah was a foster child of my parents a few years back and she was one of the lucky ones because she got to go home with her Dad, who is a really nice guy and Savannah as grown up quite nicely.  I believe she is 9 or 10 now- which I cannot believe.  She looks exactly the same just older, but still loves her Chapstick aka "lippys".  I found out she still carries one around, and it happens to be the same one I still use to this day too haha!

We met up at Town Square and had lunch at Millers Ale House which as usual was really delicious.  Ryder was being a pain in the butt and wouldn't eat his lunch and left a humongous mess where he was sitting.  He is in a throwing phase, so just imagine that right there! After lunch the kids played in the play area and then went on the Town Square train ride- which ended in a minor collision with a wall- no injuries so we have vouchers for another ride the next time we are down there! It was a beautiful afternoon, and it was so nice to see a success story from the system!

Easter 2016!

Easter 2016 has come and gone and once again my Dad, who is an amazing cook made dinner for everyone. He made racks of ribs and they were soo delicious! Like meat falling off of the bone delicious! JJ came over for the holiday as well after he got off of work. The kids had opened their Easter baskets earlier in the day, & when I got mine I was the happiest girl in the world because my Mom found a new Starbucks tumbler for me- so no more broken one. woohoo! It is so pretty, and I use it everyday!
I wore one of my new tops from Torrid and I had Heidi do my hair. I felt soo cute! Speaking of Heidi, Nicole gave her one of her old dresses and low and behold it fits Heidi perfectly so she wore it for Easter!

I snapped these cute pics of Dad with Jake "from State Farm", Heidi Ho, & Ryder P!. How cute are these kids! I mean seriously tho! Be still my heart!

Bella wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter as well! Cutest dog ever!! && I baked a cake and told Heidi she could decorate it as long as she didn't overdue it- below  is the finished product. She overdid it lol!

The kiddos also got to go to a Clark County Foster Care Event and had a great time!  It was like one big carnival! They met some people dressed up as pirates and went on some awesome rides! They are all getting so big lately- especially Ryder- going on the big kid rides with Heidi and Alyx!

Alyx turns 8!

Alyx turned 8 years old on April1 1st! Because it was a week day we just had a family dinner and Nicole made an amazing cake- she is a cake making wizard! lol!

We had Alyx's Birthday Party the following weekend at Chuck E Cheese.  It was so lucky we did an indoor b-day party because we had a Spring Storm that weekend and it was pouring rain outside! Alyx invited a few kids to her party and of course all of us in the fam bam minus JJ were there to celebrate.  Because of the weather Nicole had gone to work but within like 30 minutes we picked her back up and she joined everyone at Chuck E Cheese's just in time for the party to start! Obviously the kids had a blast, and Alyx loved being the center of attention on her day!  She even got to go into the ticket blower to earn more tickets to get prizes. It was pretty hilarious to see in person! Nicole and I had a blast too, and I am not ashamed to admit it haha! We go to town on the games and had fun on the Motion Rides! We had pizza and cake and Alyx opened her presents!  At the end we all tallied up our ticket counts and got to pick out prizes!  Nicole and I went hard as you will see below! We don't play around lol!

Bef0re we get to the pics- lemme just say I have to figure out how to get videos to post and work on the blog because I have so many vids that I snapped on snapchat that are hilarious af of alot of LaFon Kids Car Singing and just a lot of fun/cute vids in general.  I have so many from the Birthday Party too- but just know it was a great time and maybe just maybe I will post some vids on instagram! Check out the pics of the birthday party in no particular order below! Some of them are blurry- sorry for that!

Last, but not least, about a week ago was also National Sibling Day and below is the pic I posted to my social media accounts honoring all my sibs! I seriously love each and every one of them and don't know what I would do without them!  They make me laugh and have given me so much joy! I am honored to be their big sister!

Whew, we made it! We are all caught up to now!! I hope I didn't lose any you guys and you liked all the pics of the kids and catching up with us LaFons!  That is all for now!

Peace & Love
