Here is my response to this weeks prompts!

Spring is... almost non-existent where I live.  I live in Las Vegas- the freakin desert! We seriously go from Winter to Summer with like maybe a week or 2 of Spring and Fall.  It is kind of ridiculous. We literally go from our own version of two extremes- super cold and super hot! It seriously makes me miss Los Angeles, I love my four seasons haha!  What do they say about Spring- April showers bring May flowers haha! Spring is a time for renewal.  As I discussed in my previous link up post- the family cleaned out the garage- Spring Cleaning! Everything just looks better, smells better, organized- perfection!

Finish This #45: My Room!

Welcome back to the blog Link Upers- (not a real word) lol, and fellow bloggers alike... If you are a regular to the blog, welcome back...  If you are new around here, this is called "finish this link up". Nicole from Three 31 is our hostess. Here is my response to this weeks prompts!

Describe a room in your home (include pictures if you wish)… Despite breaking up with my husband in 2013, I had no intentions of moving back home with my parents.  I had been living on my own for 3 years and wanted to at least try really doing it on my own, well with roommates of course haha! But between me being so emotionally destroyed, and money issues, after a few months it became apparent that it was best for me for me to move back in with my parents.
My sister had moved into my room and all the other bedrooms were filled with kids (my parents do foster care), so all that was left for me was the living room on a twin mattress on the floor, until we got a couch bed for me to sleep on in the garage. The garage has become a semi permanent residence for me for the time being.  I have all I need, so aside from all the normal garage clutter, I have my own space which includes a bed, a couch, a mini fridge, microwave, dresser for all my clothes, recliner, and of course my big screen tv and dvr box.  If there was a bathroom in here I would be set.  I know what some of you are thinking though.  No, it is not insulated to be a bedroom, which has obviously made things difficult at times, but I have gotten myself a portable heater and a portable a/c and use them as needed.  Last year when it became summer, I had not had an a/c yet, in fact, I had no idea I was really going to need one, but the heat in general (we live in the freakin desert) made me so sick that I just had to get one, and thankfully I did, I am using it already!
My doggy Bella even has a dog bed, but she likes laying on my couch instead now that I am using it just as a couch and not a bed.  I am currently on a mattress on the floor with bunk bed framing around me lol. We are trying to find me a platform frame that can hold me to raise the mattress on.. It is what is is, and for now I am okay with it.
It isn't just a garage anymore.  It literally has become my room.  I say this because, I had thought I had finished writing this post and was just gonna add photos and then the family decided it was time to clean out the entire garage and that including re-arranging my area- which I then re-arranged again because I didn't like it.  I finally got rid of a lot of old paperwork and just garbage I didn't need and hung up one of my Beatles posters and hung up pictures, and just organized my dresser and nightstand by my bed.  Its like to my left is my kitchen/bedroom: the fridge, microwave & all my meds, lotions, sprays, hair stuff, dresser and nightstand, and bluetooth speaker, and to my right is my living room- couch, decorations, my t.v., and yes a peace sign bean bag chair haha. My room has never looked better... yes I finally see it more than just "the garage", it is really room now, and the whole rest of the garage is clean out pretty nicely.  We got rid of a lot of stuff, and the rest was put back in the garage re-organized as well!

Here are some photos of MY ROOM!

It is pretty funny but pretty much all those photos are of me as either a baby or a little girl haha! There are some with my parents and grandparents, but I seriously look obsessed with my little kid self, when really I had looked through a little bit of photos to find little kid photos for throwback Thursday and flashback Friday haha! & yes somehow I managed to acquire 2 of the same blanket which I find awesome for symmetry purposes lol!

::My Left Side::

A little bit to the left of this picture is a perfect place for a mirror I have to hang up, so I am super excited about that!

Please do not mind the fact that I did not make my bed for these photos haha. I literally took them at like 10:15p at night! My dog Bella photobombed the bottom photo too lol..

I have $250,000 to spend as I wish, so I purchase…  I think I have a pretty cookie cutter answer.  Probably buy one of my dream cars like the BMW X5, or the LEXUS r350 or higher, or a Mercedes Convtertible.  Then I would buy a house.  Not the best of the best, or a complete fixer upper.  Something reasonably priced for sure, preferably in Southern California where I grew up.  Something I can make my own.  Decorating and all, which would obviously including some Chevron and Hounds-tooth patterns because I love them both!  In my favorite colors, but not tacky at all!.  Wish I could have a beach house but that would just be out of control lol. I wanna definitely help my parents out as best as I could as well.  If that means getting them a car or a house, or putting money away for college accounts for their kids I would do that as well!

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Happy Birthday MOM!!

This past Sunday, March 1st was my Moms birthday! The whole crew got together to celebrate her
b-day! My Dad, myself, JJ, Nicole, Heidi, Mario, Cooper T. (Turtle), Ryder P. (Puppy), Paisely and Annabeth.  For the second year in a row we went down to Millers Ale House at Town Square for lunch.  (I)We ate a lot, and I meant a lot of food- appetizers, french onion soup, and my steak entree!

Then My Mom opened her presents- two Build-A-Bears Heidi and I went at made at the new store at Downtown Summerlin the day prior.  They were two puppies- one of them was a Caramel Pup I made and named Ryder after my little brother, and Heidi made one Called Cookies and Creme named Jessica.  It was Heidi's first time making a Build-A-Bear, and she was so excited when I took her to make hers!

Since it was our second year going to Millers Ale House, and by the way we sat at the same table haha, What are the odds right?  So I made JJ and Nicole recreate a photo I snapped of them at Moms Birthday party last year.  Here is how it came out!

Top: Last year  Bottom:  This Year

After we got home Nicole busted out the Wii and Guitar Hero and then Rock Band and pretty much the whole family joined in, in some capacity- even the babies and my Mom! lol!  They either sang, danced, just held the mic (Ryder & Cooper T.), or played the guitar It was so much fun.  We seriously all had a blast.  It was so cute watching the little ones and hilarious watching JJ try to do the dance moves.  I only wish I could figure out how to put videos on the blog so I could show you all the vids I took that day.  They are seriously priceless.

The evening concluded with singing Happy Birthday to Mom and eating some delicious cake that once again Nicole made.  It was my idea and her design inspired by the whole black/blue or white/gold dress craziness.  Hilarious right?  #thedress p.s. I totally saw black/blue!

I truly hope my Mom had a great birthday!  We all love her so much!  She is amazing Mom and person.. and I seriously do not know what I would do without her!  She is 100% without a doubt my best friend, and I am so grateful for her!  I love you Mommy! XOXO

Peace & Love

Here is my response to this weeks prompts!

A random piece of advice... I have always felt so alone about what I went through with my ex-husband, getting cheated on and divorced and what not.  Until I finally was able to chat with a friend a few days ago.   I feel like people have been giving me similar advice since everything happened, but until someone who had finally gone through a similar experience said it to me I guess I didn't hear it.  She basically said "now you know not only what you want but, what you don't want".  That I also should know my value and worth, that I deserve better than what I had.
