Heidi Turns Nine!

On June 13th Miss Heidi turned 9 years old.. The last single digit birthday. O.M.G.!
Lemme tell you, it took a lot of of short notice planning to pull together this birthday party!  Literally Heidi handed out the b-day invites on the last day of school and the party was literally going to be 10 days from then so the guests only had a few days to R.S.V.P. In the end only a couple kids parents actually called to say they were coming and my Mom had to look through her stuff to find the phone numbers of a few of the kids to call their parents to see if they were coming to the party or not.  We needed to know for obvious reasons like ordering food and drinks- making sure we had enough and also for party favors and what not.  In the end in ended up being a good turn out with the few kids we had!  I feel like had more people showed it would have been too crowded (we did the party in our backyard).

The b-day struggle started even before the invitations and r.s.v.p. issue started.  It took us forever to figure out what we were going to do for Heidi's party.  We seriously went through for like 4 or 5 other options before we decided on a huge bounce house/water-slide and pizza in the backyard! We didn't tell Heidi what we were doing- and for over a week she was pestering us about what was going on.  It was hilarious actually.  It was fun to surprise her on the day of the party with what was going to happen!

Everyone had a blast bouncing and slipping and a sliding.  Heidi loved every minute of it, and that was so important!  Even Nicole, JJ, and I were bouncing and sliding along with the kids.. it was pretty hilarious watching us big kids go down the water slide lol. Heidi got some great presents from her party guests- including a pre-paid cell phone (wifi only) from our parents, a cool decorative chalkboard, loom kit, and magic 8 ball.  The whole party could not have gone better!

Now onto the good stuff, the pictures!!

What a fun day!! Definitely going to rent that bounce house/slide again- the best one we have ever had!

Peace & Love
Molly
