Turtle Turns Three!!

At this point I am a little late on this.. Sorry, was at work all day.. Sucky excuse, but it is all I've got.  Fore-warning though, this blog post is very picture heavy, I was the resident picture taker for the day, and I took at least 200 pictures, but don't worry I did not post any where near that many. haha!
So without further ado..  #turtleturnsthree

Happy Birthday Turtle Man aka Cooper T. Edward LaFon!!!

Our little Turtle Man isn't so little anymore.. he turned three yesterday... May 27th, 2014.  Cannot believe he is three years old already!!! Time sure does fly by!! It is even more special because this was his first birthday as a "LaFon", since my parents legally adopted him last Winter.  It was very important to me to celebrate this Birthday with him.   He is only three, but so darn smart, and I knew this birthday was important to him, because he picked out what kind of cake he wanted (a Turtle one), and what kind of plates and cups he wanted (Spongebob) lol.  I am so glad I got to celebrate his birthday party with him, especially since I could not be at home with him on his actual birthday, because as I mentioned above I had to work.

Because of work schedules and kid schedules, and money, the party was seriously planned day of.  My parents are amazing spur of the moment party planners, because it was a great day! My Dad called around all morning and was able to get a kick ass Bounce House, even better than previous ones, and we got a cake, and were able to wrap presents during the kids nap time.  My Dad cooked, so of course there were multiple trips back and forth to Albertsons Market to pick up food for lunch, dinner, and the cake!

The kids bounced themselves tired on and off all day long, and they even managed to get my Dad, myself, and my Mom into it at some point through out the day.  I even took Ryder aka Puppy Bite, Turtles 9 month old brother in with me, and he loved it! Go figure!! Not even the heat could stop these kids, although it sure kicked my butt over the course of the day, and even as I write this, I am exhausted from it all!  This heat is ridiculous, and pretty much the only negative for the day!

So here is how the day started.. With the kids (Turtle, Alyx, Heidi, Mario), & a few other temporary foster kids we had for the weekend, bouncing around & My Dad and I taking pix!
The bounce house also had a built in hoop, so we grabbed a basketball and the kids took turns shooting around too.  They bounced and played ball until it was time for lunch!

Lunch included hot dogs cooked on the BBQ and watermelon..

After lunch it was time to go back into the bounce house!! Dad even joined in for a little bit!

In between taking pics of the kids jumping, I got to watch this little guy- Puppy Bite.. Isn't he just the cutest.. He posed himself up without any help.  We had put him down for a nap and he was just not having it.  He finally drank his bottle and slept for maybe 30 minutes, but then he woke up and rolled around on his belly and just looked up at me and smiled..

Eventually the kids came in for a rest because it was super hot outside and they were getting cranky.  Normal tired behavior.. attitude by some and whining by the rest lol!  My Mom came home from running errands & watched the kids while my Dad & I went to get dinner..

I ended up putting a dress on to go to the market with my Dad, I mean it was a holiday and all, I guess I should try to look nice haha!

Why not, I mean it was Memorial Day & my day off!!

After resting for a while the kids got in round 3 of bouncing the bounce house.  This time I joined in, and this is when I brought Puppy Bite in with me, and he had the best time!  So did I quite frankly!

After awhile of sitting inside the bounce house taking pics of the kids, I had my Dad slide Puppy Bite in!

My Mom even joined in on the fun.. She sat with Turtle Man, and watched everyone bounce!
They love each other so much!!

The kids all finally got worn out, and it was time for bed, so all the kids shuffled out of the bounce house, including Turtle and Puppy and I got to solo bounce for a little bit and of course take selfies! lol.  I totally rocked that bounce house!  I felt like a little kid again.. I didn't know I could have that much fun!  Like I said though, it was super hot outside, so that kind of sucked, but other than that it was a great time!

After the bounce house fun was done, it was time for dinner, then birthday cake, and of course presents for Turtle Man!!! It was really late by the time we got to do all these things because we were waiting for Nicole to come home from work.  The kids were falling asleep, and others were already sleep by the time cake and presents rolled around, but the adults and kids that really cared to be there, were still awake!

The dinner was yummy- steak and potatoes!

Birthday Cake Time!!!

Time for Presents!!!
He got some cool spider-man bubbles, spider-man blanket, & spider-man sunglasses, as well as 2 cartoon DVDs, turtle bubbles from the Mandalay Bay Shark Reef, wind up bath toys, & sponge-bob lip balms!!

It was an amazing day and everyone had a great time.  More importantly, Turtle had fun and that is what really matters.  It was HIS Birthday after all!

I love you Turtle Man, and I am so happy you are my brother and that I got to spend this birthday with you!
You are one great kid, and I am honored to call you my brother, and to be your big sister!

Peace & Love
Molly
